I second Philips motion
DO use an external oscillator, the cost of aspirin when using an internal to drive the rest is more than the cost of an external oscillator.
Also the time it takes for a '51 to come out of reset can vary by several cycles. I once had to fix someones problems stemming from reliance on 2 '51 starting in synch.
