#20101 - Suggestion from newbe !
I have some experience in basic electronics, PLC's, and C++, but I'm new to microprocessors. I've read the 8052.com tutorial and the course at hkrmicro.com-both are good pieces of work. 8052.com does a good job at explaining memory organization and timers while hkrmicro covers the assembler and program development. I recently bought a book (The 8051 Microcontroller by James Stewart)and was disappointed-it didn't do as good of job at explaining things as 8052 and hkrmicro.

The point I'm trying to get to is. Why doesn't 8052.com expand with some more good tutorials to teach the basics of assembler, program development and interfacing with some of the basic equipment?. Start simple then keep expanding into more advanced material. Its a big job for one person, but there seems to be some experienced people here who could contribute. Whatever you do, do a good job and explain it so that the beginner can understand it. There's a lot of good information here-the tutorial, the messages, and the links to other sights, but it kills too much time jumping around from site to site looking for it. Then a lot of the data sheets and such are hard for a beginner to understand. It would be nice to have good tutorials that cover the basics all at one site. Either that or please suggest a good book that explains things.

Well thats my opinion and suggestions. I hope to see the site expand with more tutorials.
