On my actual design I am using 21 led displays and 18 keys

The keys are grouuped in 3 groups and I am getting an interupt if one is pressed

For the 7 seg displays I am using a timer with 0.5 ms overflow to generate the mux.
I am using a HC573 for latching data and
some ULN2803 with HC137 for the colums
