I worked with 7 bit CRC working with proprietary mobile data (in the '80's). I don't remember the polynomial. I do remember it was just like a CRC-8 except you shift 7 times instead of 8. Review non-tabled CRC-8 routines, modify the shift counter, and use your polynomial.
