#20537 - RE: necessary handshake with modem?Andy |
Does´ent all modem include XON/XOFF?I am a newbie on this... Anyway I also have to decide witch modem to use for this purpose so I probably use one that does.
One problem with the software flow is that the characters for XON/XOFF may occur in the data values that are sent.(XON = 17 = DC1 = hex11 = Ctrl-Q and XOFF = 19 = DC3 = hex13 = Ctrl-S). But if I send the data in the same rate all through the connection do i really need any flow control at all and can the buffer level exceed it´s "higer level"? Ann-Sofie |
