#20744 - RE: asembly code for digital clock/stopwatch |
The watchdog timer integrated into the DALLAS parts are clock synchronous and reliable. They allow you to implement a clock without using your precious timers and (if appropriate), extend the WD timeout to a second increment which is easily implemented without "littering" your nice code with "kicks". I use Watchdogs coupled with "confidence flags" this way i can strategize warm start response so this technique works very well.
