#21196 - Using the Unused Pins of P3 for I/O |
Hello,
I am using 8051 controller. I am interfacing various devices like LCD, 8255 etc to the controller and using the RD and WR lines for reading and writing purposes respectively. I have used the complete port P1 for interfacing the keyboard. I am also using the internal timer T0 for generating a internal timer routine to checking the key press. T1 will be used for generating the baud rate internally for the serial interface. The unused pins of port P3 can be used for normal I/O operations also. Now my question is that with the internal timers for T0 and T1 being used, can I use the T0 and T1 pins of the controller for my other I/O purposes also? Regards, Mohit |
