I am working on a new design using the T89C51RD2 chip. The hardware (and software) are not done yet, but the production people want to know how long it will take to load the 64K ROM via ISP. If it will take too long, they want to put the CPU in a socket so that it can be programmed (using a device programmer) before it is installed on the board.

They don't want to wait for the code to be complete before running the boards...

I would appreciate advice from anyone who has programmed the 89C51RD2 using ISP.
