#22398 - The release of my SB-Assembler
Hello all,

At long last I finished the new version of my SB-Assembler and released it for you all to enjoy it. I have used this assembler for years now, dating back to the Apple ][ era.

In short, the SB-Assembler is a 2 pass Macro Cross Assembler.
It is completely written in assembly language itself, making it very fast.
It can assemble an unlimited number of source files each of infinite length in one go.
It produces directly rommable code in many different file formats with maximum file sizes of 4Gb.
Every processor type is handled by its own cross-overlay, making the assembler expandable. Currently the crosses for the 8048 family, 8051 family, 8080 / 8085 and Z80 family of processors are available. Other crosses already exist but have to be rewritten for the new assembler core program.
Because of this modular structure it is even possible to mix different processor types together and assemble the whole project in one go!
Another very strong feature of the SB-Assembler are local labels, which only live from one global label to the next. You don’t have to invent meaningless labels anymore for loops and skips, like LOOPXXX, or SKIP123.

And now the best feature of it all: It is completely free!

So feel free to visit my site at http://www.sbprojects.com and read all about it, download it, and enjoy it.

Happy programming.

San Bergmans

PS: Craig has pre-approved this announcement, so please don’t accuse me of advertising a free product. Thanks Craig
