I didn't account for the fact that I/O in ISO7816 is open drain! thanks for remembering me!

anyway, in a preliminary test, using the code I posted up, and tying the two lines to I/O as is, I was able to transimit (I can read the ATR) but then I cannot receive.

It seems that the MCU crashes when waiting for RI to be set (I put some leds on P2, and turn it off at reset, but then when the code comes to JNB RI,$, the leds suddenly light up, and remain on till the next reset, as if the MCU is pushed continuously in the reset state!)
how could that be?
