hi Erik,
actually that's what i did as i said in the second posting but when i was trying to compile with Raisonance its saying undefined symbols "DPL" , "DPH", "B", "Acc" and so on. Here's a sample of the code

SWAPDPTR :
PUSH ACC
MOV A,DPL
MOV DPL,R7
MOV R7,A
MOV A,DPH
MOV DPH,R6
MOV R6,A
POP ACC
RET

and its saying undefined symbols ACC,DPL, DPH. The compiler should recognise these terms isn't it???

please do help
thanks:

Hi Sundeep,

It sounds like you haven't selected the predefined 8051 SFR switch. If you are using RIDE change the option in the Options|MA51|Source window. This will define the standard 8051 SFR names for you.

Beyond the basics, Look in the RIDEINC directory for MA51 include files that define derivative specific SFRs. Don't forget to deselect the option above or you will get redefinition errors.

As for Ftanklin 4.05 was the last Keil version released. Go to www.amrai.com page for the explanation of the Franklin/Raisonance connection.
