I removed the 27C1001 and am using only the EEPROM emulator. I use the manufacturer OS for a sanity check running from the emulator and it works fine. But if I write my own duplicate code, it fails...

I am going to go through and 'zero' out the rest of the manufacturer code in the EEPROM and see if I can cause it to fail, but it should only hit those lines of code I listed above, with interrupts disabled.

I thought maybe a watchdog timer, but that doesn't seem to be it.

I will keep trying.
