#22988 - lint (not pocket) and other things
The current issue of embedded sytems programming magazine (free, if you do not get it DO find it on google and subscribe) has an article extolling the virtues of using a lint program. I have used lint for the x86 and have had good results. Last I tried to find a lint program for the '51 what I found was unusable due to the plethora of messages related to legal 51 C extensions. Looking for a selection I stumbled over this link:

www.esacademy.com/automation/faq/8051/4.htm

It is a great listing of free and not so free tools for the '51.

Finally I'll get around to the question: does anyone know of a lint program that (can easily be modified to) will accept '51 extensions and preferably test them for validity.

Thanks in advance

Erik
