#23047 - Bits vs Lines
To understand better about µcontrolers...

Lines = You can switch off/on. (The line remain at the last state)
Bits = The data is sended in a clock pulse (then the port is reset to 0)

Teoricaly Setb, Clrb should enable lines. (on µC)
Teoricaly INp, OUTp should send bits. (on PC's)

This is the main difference between.
