If we refer to the operation of timer 2, 16 bit auto reload mode, the RCAP registers are used to hold the count. When the timer overflows int is generated and timer registers are reloaded from RCAP registers to begin its timing cycle again. Now the question is what happens in the first cycle i.e. before the interrupt for the first time is generated. More specifically should the TH2 and TL2 registers be explicitly loaded with the same count as that of RCAP registers or its implicit that if timer 2 is used in the Auto Reload mode then even when it starts its first cycle it first takes count from RCAP registers then begins its operation.
