Hello Everyone.

Has anyone interfaced a HDD or CompactFlash card to 16bit/32bit microcontroller as one would with a typical memory device or at least with some minimum glue logic?

Anyone emulated an EPP port with a 8051 or AVR? Can you tell me a realistic transfer rate for it (e.g. 250kbytes/sec)? Is it hard to read data from the port from a Windows program written lets say in Visual Basic ?
