I just got my 89s8252 smt chip conected to my printedboard but I can't make it to work.
I got pin 29 (VA/Epp) connected to the Vcc and my reset is made of a capacitor and a ristor only. It's the same way as I did in my WW design but (exept for the pin numbers since I switch to smt) the program isn't running. I can program the chip and even the verify is working but the program isn't running.
I even tried to put a simple program that only turn's on/off port 1 but nothing.
no respond.
also trying to access the external memory (data) isn't working. both rw and wr are allways up.
the crystal however does seems to work.

I'm using an old iar as a compiler/linker.
any seggestion?
