#23512 - ADC problem... |
Thanks all for ur help n support.
Now, I am stuck up with a problem. I was given an AD1674 ADC chip (8-channel,12-bit, ±10v) to work with. This is what I understand of an ADC... It splits all the values in between -10 and +10 into equal intervals. (total of 4096 values. 21/FFF ).So, 000h would corrospond to -10v and FFFh corrosponds to +10v. Now, manually I can manipulate or calculate this, but how do i do it programmatically, esp, when 8031 does not support Floats. One way I understand is to use a Look-Up table. But DO I HAVE TO STORE those 4096 values (if so how). My exact requirement is to get values upto 1 digit precision. (I actually dont need a 12-bit one, but it was given, so cant help it). Like, my requirement would be to obtain values from a POT ±10v, which inturn would be attached to a steering wheel that would be capable of moving ±38 degrees from midpoint. Here I need values like 12.1 and -23.6 and so on... Thank You. Regards, Sriharsha. |
