i have developed hardware for serial communication between 8051 and pc. at pc end i am using mscom active x control. when i am sending data from pc to controller it works fine for the first time. i am using RTS and CTS pins for handshaking. when i am trying to send data for 2nd time it is not sent.

i also have following doubts:
1. is there any other method for serial communication without using mmscom active x control in vb?
2. can you provide some detailed information about how to use CTS and RTS signal handshaking.

can anybody working on similar problem help me? thanks in advance
