Does the LED look half as bright as it did when you drive it on all the time ? Press the reset button and freeze it, perhaps try it until you catch the LED on. The LED should brighten if you catch the program when it is lit.

REAL time delays take interrupt programming. There are several examples in the general froum replies, which you will find with the sual site search stuff I expect, but there is a detailed tutorial in the forum here
