Is it possible somehow to save the register contents if mcu is bit by the watch dog.

I think we can do that by keeping the data of registers additionally to some external accumulator (say an SRAM), and when the watch dog takes its jaws off, the mcu reads the registers from the SRAM.

This is I would call indirect saving the registers.

Any idea to do that without using extra electronics.
