#23905 - RE: Max232 with cts rts |
"I need to drive a Bluetooth chip that requires CTS and RTS"
Could you just hard-wire the signals? As Rob Klein said, the MAX232-type chips are simply level translators; they do not have any "inteligence" such as providing flow control. Some UART chips, however, do provide automatic flow control - but I wonder whether the interfacing is actually any more difficult than doing the flow control yourself and using the on-chip UART? I think that the interrupt-driven serial IO example on the Keil site might include flow control? Check it out! |
