I think both problems are based on IAR's lack of ability regarding telling the compiler/linker where you want to place a variable (the first problem) or a function (the second one). Or if not a lack of ability, a lack of documented ability. I haven't seen anything in my IAR documentation that compares to Keil's _at_ command.

You've got me curious though, there must be some way to do this...I'll ask my tech support guy (IAR's tech support is great by the way, have you asked them?)
