#24478 - Simple SMPS Calculation... |
Hi!
I am tring to make a SMPS of 12V and upto 1Amp from 220V mains. It will be regulated by 89c2051 through Optocoupler and i have following questions, 1, how i supply power to MCU initially. I donot want to use 50Hz transformer. I think if i put MCU on primary side of ferrite Transformmer then i could put a Resistor and zener network to supply power to MCU, what you think. 2, Where can i get material on calculating ferrite transformer, I know nothing about its calculation except that a, it can work on higher frequencies, b, Voltage transfer ratio is equal to the ratio of primary and secondary winding. 3, Uptill now, i have used oscillator with high voltage transistor and hand made ferrite core transformer but i could not force it to output more then 20V and 130mA with too much heated power transistor. And also during experiment i have blow up the prototype circuit 2 times with very big spark and noise like fire cracker. 4, Any thing else i should know. Thanks! |
