#24663 - replace T87C51RD2 with T89C51RD2 ?!
Hello!
I would like to replace the old T87C51RD2 with the T89C51RD2 (flash) and have the full ISP-Support without changing the hardware.

I have 2 Questions:

1. Normally you have to set hardware-condition (PSEN=0,EA=1,ALE=1) to run the bootloader but my old hardware doesn't support this (not necessary for T87..). Is it possible to run the bootloader (and flash the uC) in the sw-application? (for example setting the PC on FC00h?!?)

2. Has anyone tried to use the Hitex-MX51-Emulator for the T89C51RD2? (Hitex say's that it won't work but they've already said it for the T87C51RD2 and it work's brilliant *g*)

Regards
dieter
