Greetings,

I am currently using an AT89C52 in a project
with the SDCC freeware C compiler.

I find that after adding a few unsigned char arrays, the MCU hangs on startup (That is to say, once the code has been stored and the system is initialized).

I remove these entries and it works w/o the features.

Is there something I'm missing? Do I simply have to go back to writing this in assembly?

Any ideas are helpful.
