#25481 - PCMCIA Interface |
Hi, I have an issue that was brought up by people from marketing department. Currently, we have a line of products that use various 8051 microcontrollers and EEPROM chips that contain 4-bit ADPCM audio data. Marketing people are asking if we can use PCMCIA card to replace EEPROMs. Making the physical connections between PCMCIA card and microcontroller doesn't seem too hard to accomplish with data lines, address lines and a few more control lines. However, I am very much concerned that the software interface, such as card sevices and socket services, may go well beyond the ability of most 8051 family microcontrollers, nonetheless, I am not an expert on PCMCIA technology and hoping that someone here can provide me with some insights into this matter.
Allow me to thank all of you in advance. |
