#25729 - RE: Processor hangs. |
Reference Controller hangs.
Kindi, and all at forum Thanks for reply for my questions. I had tried to use timer 2 of my design to jump to location 00h when abnormal condition detected, to restart the whole software and hence break deadlock by bug in software. My timer 2 is used for scanning displays and keyboard. I jumped from timer2 isr directly to 00h. My display goes off, that meas timer 2 stops. But other functions work, which I varified by serial link with PC. My USART is responding which uses timer1 for baud rate generation. One thing I have observed is that the contents of register tcon2 is 04h during normal run, where as when timer2 stops responding after jumping to 00h in the middle of t2 isr, the content changes to 084 for ever. That is odd, because the tcon2 register is loaded with 00h in the initialising. What might be the reason? Request Kundi and all to respond. Best Regards. Mahesh Vyas. |
