Peter, try Peter Dannegger's Site. He referred me to these routines a few days ago. I dropped them in my project and it worked "right out of the box." Just define sscl and ssca as the ports that you'll use for the SCL and SDA lines and it works perfectly.

I'm using the routines to talk to an RTC myself.
