I bet you thought that i am going to ask about driver circuits!!! No, you guessed wrong!

I am developing a trip computer as my MSc project and i wanted the opinions of people with both electronics and driving experience. Yes i don't have a driver's license. :( Not yet.

Do you think that providing an Estimated Time of Arrival is important for a professional driver? Is it better to provide a time of day or time till you reach the destination?
