#25815 - RE: Securing Code\ROM contents |
This is not a "fix all"; however; using disassembly on occasion, I have found that mixing code, constants, jump tables will make most disassemblers create results that take a great effort to straighten out.
I do not know how valuable your code is in object form (hardware has to match exactly), but every time I have refused to work off a purloined disassembled piece of code, I have won the argument that starting from scratch is cheaper. Thus, if your code has value only in disassembled form, do not worry, it will cost more to get it off the chip than to start from scratch. Erik Erik |
