As far as my himble knowledge is concerned, I don't agree with you. Even if the parallel port is old type (i.e. uni-directional), you will always get back what you wrote to the data register. For example, OUT 378,55 and IN 378 will yield 55. This is not a sure sign of port being bi-directional. Regards IA |
