My 8051 (80C652) works well off the EPROM. however, when I insert a RAM chip(6264) into the RAM socket, my program does not seem to execute. I have tried another RAM chip but the fault stil occurs.I have checked for possible short circuits with my multimeter but it all looks ok. The Address and Data bus lines appear to go where they are supposed to, supply voltage seems ok. Is there something I am missing? What things should I be checking for?
I thought the tutorials were great and I'll definately go through them again when I finally get it going. I confess, I am a total beginner.
