What are the pros and cons of changing to AVR?
I read that the ATMEGA128 has
- 128 Kb FLASH
- 4 Kb RAM
- 4 Kb EEPROM
- 8 x 10bit ADC
- 53 I/O pins
- Package: 64-pin TQFP
- PWM: 6 x 16-bit

and relatively cheap dev tools.
Why isnt there a similar 8052 based variant
at the same price?
