#26765 - AT89C52 pogramming question. |
I am an electronics engineer involved with
linear accelerators.I am new to 8052's but have programmed 68705p3 and 8086 using assembler some time back (before kids). I plan on using an AT89C52 for my first foray and found some on the Jameco site. Having read the Atmel data sheet I have a question before I buy the chips. On the datasheet it says "the AT89C52 is shipped with either high-voltage (12v) or low-voltage programming mode enabled". There is a topside mark of "5" on the chip if the low voltage mode is enabled. Initially I want to program with 12 volts since I have a programmer and an adaptor available. If the chips come from Jameco with the low Vpp mode enabled does this rule out my using the 12 volt Vpp as I want to? If they come low Vpp mode enabled does it really make any difference or is there some work around so I can use 12 volts. Or do I just have to find a retailer who specifies which version they are selling (Jameco do not). Thanks for any help, sorry it's such a basic question. I'm using the Pinnacle suite trial version and have found it easy to use.I plan to buy the full option later this month and then I am set to start programming. Phil Bassett |
