I have no idea what a funda is either, but based on context I will assume Ashwani is asking how the "star rating" is calculated for forum postings.

The star rating is just an indicator of how many messages have been posted by the user. It is not neccesarily an indicator of quality, although those with more stars will have normally been here longer and participated more, so normally they will tend to be worth paying attention to. But don't ignore someone just because they don't have a lot of stars--they may be experts that have just joined recently and haven't posted enough messages to "earn" lots of stars yet. Or they may have been with us for a long time but may not have posted many msgs, but their few posts may be high-quality.
