I recommend you to use graphical LCD with T6963. It has internal RAM and realy clever controler, so you do not have to worry about refresh, contens of the screen and so on.

I can't remember very clear, but as I remember, LC7981 and SED1335 do not have those features. So, if you will use T6963, let me now - I have some source in C ;)
