Hai all,

I have a system designed using 8051, which send the information to PC using (MAX 232)RS232 communication. I often face some problems of some unknown spikes or high voltages coming into my system from the PC.
For this reason i want to isolate my system
from PC.

I have tried it using a optocoupler PC817.
But it didn\'t work. Can anyone help me with the proper circuit for isolation.
