I agree that it was absolutotally stupid that Philips made the boot vector programmable (the excuse is that some might want to vector to their own boot code) since I can't visualize any custom boot that would work off switches.
However, Philips has other advantages and the method I offer makes the boot "vector independent" The WinIsp program invites mistakes since everything has to be done every time, FlashMagic (paid for by Philips) will "remember" what you want so a typing mistake will not kill you. Another issue is that, to my best knowledge, Atmel does not offer the 66x functionality. Viel spass Erik |
