you will need a hardware interface which will not be that easy. The SJA1000 is most often used as memory mapped device. For 8051 use, it features the ALE for adress / data distinction.
There are so called CAN Dongles, which are attached to the parallel port with the SJA1000 built in. Werner Meier PS the SJA1000 is compatible to the 82C200 for which you may find alse application notes |
