Maybe an HTML cheat sheet is needed on this site. If i constructed such a cheat sheet i would include:

Posting Code then prefix with
<pre> and post-fix with <pre>

Posting in Italic then prefix with
<i> and postfix with </i>

Posting in Bold the prefix with <b> and
postfix with </b>

Posting a reference to a URL then first highlight and copy the URL from the Address line of your browser;

prefix with <a href="
paste in the site URL
postfix with ">add your text</a>

With just the above "cheats" you can cover most posting requirements. Of course you won't give Andy Neil any competition until you do something like "
