#2838 - RE: Frequency measurement with C515 |
Hi Allen,
I am feeding the pulsed input directly to the P1.1 input and I have enabled external INT4. The interrupt is set to trigger on a positive edge and the handler currently does nothing more than increment a counter and return. I do have Timers 0 and 1 running and generating interrupts. Timer 0 is running at 100 Hz and Timer 1 is running at 200 Hz. I did disable those thinking they were having an effect but the error was still there. These handlers reload the timer registers, increment a counter and return. At the moment I am sampling the counter incremented by the INT4 handler once a second. I will eventually want to sample at a faster rate but until I have warm fuzzies about what is going on I am going to leave it as is. I have not tried to do a capture with CC1 yet, I figured what I was trying to do was simple enough not to need to do that. Famous last words :-). I can live with it as is and just adjust for the error, it actually works pretty well as is. That is not a comfortable solution though. Regards, Dennis |
