#28745 - RE: Serial Port - SBUF, Jörg
Hi all,

I see no reason, why SBUF should differ from any other SFR.
And if the data sheet tells, that every write to SBUF start the transmission, why I should not believe it ?

And if you want to send always a 'B' if you received an 'A' and so on, then feel free to use "INC SBUF" and it must work, because the data sheet tells clearly: "any write instruction" and INC was a read-modify-write instruction.

If anybody found a derivate, which differs in this point from the data sheet, then it must be a bug.

Peter
