If your goal is to write code for a 8051 derivate using Basic take a look at :
www.mcselec.com
Bascom is a Basic compiler (not interpreter).
In that way you use a 'normal' 8051 or 89C51 at his normal speed.
The 8052AH Basic is slow cause it needs to translate basic commando's to machinecode in the controller.
Hope this is not seen as an advertisement for Bascom. I struggled a lot with C and I guess I'll never learn it. Even assembler is easier. Till I found Bascom...
