The printer (citizen dp555)i got is a charactor printer with out control card, meaning that, i need have my own circute to drive the printer. also i need to print bit by bit for each charactar. On citizen web site i found that they have a control chip for dp555, i could not find more info than that.

on the other hand distributer for citizen printers (lampex) has a control board, but the cost economics are not not in favour that.

is there any one who had some experience with dp555 printer to help me get started with hardware and software side??
