Autorouting is a scam. You might be able to hand route a board with a hundred traces before you even get the autorouter started.

for complicated hi speed circuits, specctra outperforms human beeings in terms of speed and capabilities and quality. Imagine routing equal length tracks by hand for high speed applications!
With PCAD2001 you just click on route and it takes you to autorouter menu to choose which autorouter to use, if you can afford spectra, you use it and if not the built in autorouter for PCAD2001 is good enough and fast.
I actually made my design with both the autorouter of PCAD and specctra and compared the two together.
For a small circuit the autorouting took 15 seconds, I actually sent the gerber files to a manufacturer without testing the tracks the autorouter did and the circuit worked first time.
the quality of specctra autorouter is much better, it minimises number of vias and makes tracks beautiful, in my circuit pcad router made beautiful circuit but with 115 vias while specctra made a much neater circuit, track density evenly spaced over the board with just 65 vias for the same circuit.
