I agree a search function needs to exist. In the next week or so I plan to do some R&D (mostly "D"=Development) and make the search function which is found on all the pages of 8052.com also capable of searching the message board.

I'm also going to do something (not sure what yet) to purge the message base. I'm trying to think of the best way to manage it. We've got something like 3000 messages in the message base, but I think at some point older messages should probably be scrolled off into some kind of HTML file.

My thought is to have the system keep the last three months of messages in the forum, and then at the end of each month "scroll" the oldest month into an HTML file so that the messages will still be accessible in a library, but won't any longer be in the active forum database.

Anyway, all of that should be coming in about another week or two. I'm taking advantage of the fact that I'm "between projects" and working on quite a few cool things for 8052.com which will start popping up in the next few days.
