i need the help as i got stuck with the internal memory space limitations.

I got 16 8bit locations, and now i want to check that is the 1st bit of any of 16 location is '1' or not. In other words, is there any location (out of 16) which as '1' in the first bit ??

I am looking for an efficiantly done piece of code.

What i am doing now is to call every location in the accumulator one by one, and testing the first bit is it 1 or not? This way the code is bit lenghthy. Perhaps some one can help me??
