#30296 - RE: 89c51 behave strange
thanks ijaz for the caution about CMOS. i was careless about that.. u saved my life.

sorry if i mix up the things i don't want to waste your time. any way well i saw a web page with a LED connected to 8051 micrcontroller with a program to blink it. i take this program and program it to my 89c51. it works fine. then i write my own program to blink the LED... thats the problem... its not working... then i suspect that 89c51 is running the program too fast.. that was my assumption. so i connected to LCD with it and write code to initialize it through 89c51 ports. and i notice that some times it does get initialized.

one more thing.... i connect the LED to 89c51 port pin and ground directly with positive to port pin. its too dim i was expecting it bright... it usually was with 89c2051 port pin.

i am using a programmer which is build by a local electronics parts supplier its good and working fine as i was given demonstration on the store. earlier i purchased a programmer for 89c2051 and absolutely fine. i have set up my own circuit for 89c51 on breadboard and test all my projects on it.
