Some schematics that may be around would use pirated software from an industrial ICE. That would constitute theft. The software for an ICE is no minor project. Philips has some VERY reasonable priced (<$1k) ICEs for their derivatives. For an universal ICE, try CEIBO (about $1.5k).
What is available in true non-thieving fashion would be the so-called ROMulators, which are a PC visible ROM which really is a RAM and thus no burning etc is needed during development. Erik |
